Students in grades 9-12 will participate in enrichment areas in the classroom and on field trips. SPARK courses offer a supportive and collaborative environment that empowers students to drive their learning and explore their interests in an engaging and dynamic way. Field trip fees apply to this program.
Course Highlights
Lifelong Sports: Students will explore a variety of sports and physical activities that can be enjoyed throughout their lives, promoting health and well-being.
Building Relationships: Students will have the opportunity to form strong bonds with their peers, teachers, and the community cultivating meaningful relationships that foster a sense of belonging, trust, and camaraderie.
Experiential Learning: Students will engage in hands-on activities and real-world experiences to deepen their understanding of the subject matter.
Outdoor Explorations: Students will have the chance to explore the outdoors, fostering a connection with nature and promoting physical fitness.
Service Learning and Community Outreach: Students will actively contribute to their community through service projects, fostering a sense of social responsibility and empathy.
Project-Based Research: Students will undertake research projects that allow them to delve into topics of interest and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Presentation Speech and Debate: Students will enhance their communication skills through the art of public speaking and engage in lively debates on various topics.
Student-Driven and Student Interest: SPARK is tailored to the interests and passions of the students, allowing them to take ownership of their learning and pursue their individual goals.
SPARK is co-taught by Mrs. Wieland and Mrs. Doyle on Wednesdays.
