Returning Students
Priority Placement Window: Jan. 20 – Feb. 1, 2026
- For families who already attend HSA, applicants may request their top three program preferences. Please do not list the same program and day for all three options. Have your child's D20 student I.D. number ready when you apply.
- You must have at least one student currently attending HSA to apply for your entire family during this window. For example, if you currently have a 3rd grader here, it is permissible to also register your new incoming kindergartener during Priority Placement.
- The application form will be available on this page and in our weekly HSA email beginning at noon on Jan. 20, 2026. We will email students' program placement no later than Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.
General Application Window
New Families/Students Placement Window: Feb. 2 – Oct. 31, 2026
- The general application window opens on Monday, Feb. 2 at noon and closes on Oct. 31, 2026. All incoming applications for new and returning students are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Select your top three preferences to ensure your best chance of being placed in one of our programs. Please be patient if you are waitlisted; we work hard all summer to move students off the waitlist.
- The application form will be available on this page during the application window.
Accept and Register
We will email all accepted applicants within two business weeks. You will have two business days to accept the offer. After accepting, you'll complete the Academy District 20 registration process. Do not complete a D20 registration until you have been accepted into HSA. You do not need to fill out a School Choice application.
